Prince's Trust Team Programme Access

What is special about this course?

The Prince’s Trust Team programme is a personal development programme offering work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week at an outdoor activity centre. It lasts 12 weeks and is delivered at YMCA in partnership with Perth College UHI. The programme helps 16-25 year olds develop confidence, motivation and skills through teamwork.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you will be invited to discuss your application with a member of the team, attend some initial group sessions and must be able to demonstrate the ability to work at SCQF Level 3, also known as Access 3.

The emphasis is on team work and will include: a residential, community project, work placement, Next Steps unit and a team challenge. You will work towards the Prince's Trust Certificate in Personal Development and Employability Skills at SCQF Level 4.

Fees

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.

Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.

What can I do on completion of my course?

More than 70% of unemployed participants who complete the programme go on to jobs, training or education within three months.
