For the 2nd year running, the Flexible Workforce Development Fund allows qualifying businesses to access up to £5k worth of training for their employees.

The Scottish Government have announced that the Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) which will allow SMEs to apply for upskilling and reskilling support for the year 21/22. Defined as a business with 1 to 250 employees, SMEs will be able to access training locally at Perth College UHI to support them in adapting and responding to the impacts of COVID-19 and help their existing employees to upskill and reskill.

The COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions have led to an unprecedented impact on our society, economy and labour market.

Central to economic recovery is this national fund which will support employers and individuals to build the skills and infrastructure that will be required in the industries of the future. We are already  seeing significant employability and skills gaps within the local economy and we are here to help.
