New fund allows qualifying businesses to access up to £5k worth of training

The Scottish Government have announced a new Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) which will allow SMEs to apply for upskilling and reskilling support. Defined as a business with less than 250 employees, SMEs will be able to access training locally at Perth College UHI to support them in adapting and responding to the impacts of COVID-19 and help their existing employees to upskill and reskill.

person taking notes

The COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions have led to an unprecedented impact on our society, economy and labour market.

Central to economic recovery is this new national fund which will support employers and individuals to build the skills and infrastructure that will be required in the industries of the future. There will be significant employability and skills gaps we know our local employers and employees will have in the coming months and we are here to help.
