Lorenz Cairns, Depute Principal

Lorenz studied Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and then completed his Masters in Music at Leeds College of music, focusing on Jazz improvisation and critical musicology. Lorenz also has a teaching qualification from Dundee University (TQFE).

As a professional musician, Lorenz has extensive experience in theatre, television/radio and session playing throughout Scotland and the UK. He has toured the world with major artists and continues his professional practice to this day.
