Jill Elder - SDD for Business, Management, Computing and Leisure

Jill leads the Business, Management and Computing Directorate with a focus on providing an excellent experience for all our learners whether full time, part time or commercial clients. The enhancement of our student experience through quality learning and teaching and the development of community is really important to Jill. All of the teams in this directorate share a collective focus on continuous improvement. Team work is at the heart of Jill's approach, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to support the development of ideas to improve and grow.

Jill joined UHI Perth in 2003 as a lecturer in Business and had enjoyed different curriculum roles over the last 18 years developing her experience as a leader in education. In her current role, Jill is committed to developing opportunities for both students and staff to develop and realise their potential. Jill works closely with a wide range of stakeholders including UHI colleagues, Industry partners, School-College Partnership, Developing the Young Workforce, Chamber of Commerce and our wider communities to ensure our offer meets the needs of the local, regional and national economy.

Outside of college, Jill enjoys time with her family and keeping active. Perthshire is a wonderful place to live and work and Jill tries to make the most of this in her free time.
