You will have regular contact with a number of college staff throughout your course.
Firstly, your Student Adviser will play a big part in your Induction and your Personal Development Plan. Throughout your course, they will be your first point of contact for many questions or concerns you may have. Your Student Adviser will also monitor your general progress and attendance and arrange review meetings.
Secondly, you will have a number of subject tutors who will teach and assess aspects of your course. They want you to succeed, so participate in classes and ask if you have any questions you are unsure of. Your Student Adviser will liaise with your tutors to track your progress.
The Resource Administrators and Assistants will deal with handing in of assessments and general enquiries. Student Services staff are available to help you with choosing the right course, careers advice, student funding, support for disability, counselling, childcare, accommodation. Library staff will assist with finding suitable learning resources, Student Records staff will help with queries about paying fees or if any of your personal details have changed and Catering staff will ensure a supply of food and drink to keep you going.
Many staff members you will meet, and many you may never meet, work together to try to ensure we provide you with the best educational experience we can.
