- Information society and rural development (not running in 2011/12)

- Research Methods and Techniques - this replaces the Developing a research capability module
- Sustainable tourism
- Water management
Students continuing to the MSc carry out a research dissertation into an issue of their choice, selected in consultation with a supervisor. The results are presented in a 15,000 word dissertation.
Graduates are eligible for membership of the Institute of Economic Development.
