In September 2009 Perth Concert Hall hosted a very special event for our higher education students: the Perth College UHI Graduation ceremony.
And as well as enjoying a day to remember, around 1000 students and their guests also made a little history in the process.
The University of the Highlands and Islands now has its own taught degree awarding powers, so degrees and professional qualifications at Perth College UHI no longer have to be validated by the Open University.

Guest speaker Charan Gill entertained the audience with a fantastic speech then went on to present the successful graduates with commemorative scrolls to mark their achievements.
