Members of Tayside Construction Forum discussed the challenges surrounding the Scottish construction industry’s aim of producing zero waste at an event on Wednesday 8 February at Perth College UHI.
Nick Smith from the Charlton Smith Partnership discussed what designers and clients can do to reduce waste upstream, while John McHardy and Martin Forbes from Robertson Construction Group presented his findings on how contractors can optimise waste management during construction. Rupert Carrick of Zero Waste Scotland was also present.
Donald Kemp, Construction Subject Leader at Perth College UHI said: “This event was a great opportunity to share best practice and new developments.”
