Jacquie Clark

"I always had a keen interest in computers, the first one I ever tried was my grandfather’s Vic 20 in 1979, it was state of the art, the programs ran from a cassette recorder!

"I had used computers at work, but it wasn’t until I became a full-time mother of two, that we had our own PC at home – and I became intrigued by this gadget that could make life so much easier. It was from this interest that I started my own business as a Computer Trainer.

"However after baby number three, with some time on my hands, I thought about obtaining a qualification to validate the Computer Training I was doing.

"Through Crieff Learning Centre I was able to complete the European Computer Driving License (ECDL) and ECDL Advanced Courses. The flexibility this learning offered was completely different to anything I had done before – I could fit learning around times that suited me, a lot of the course work could be done at home while the baby had a nap – and there was always a friendly face at the learning centre when I needed additional support.

"It was such a pleasurable experience, that I now work for Perth College as an IT Tutor, both at Crieff Learning Centre and at the Perth Campus too!"
