About this course
Through a unique combination of studio, live and broadcast disciplines, this course will give you the high-level skills needed for a career in sound production. Designed by people working within the audio engineering industry after extensive market research, the course concentrates on recording live sound; digital broadcasts; audiovisual applications; recording techniques; studio and location; live sound applications and research. Teaching staff are active industry professionals.
We aim to provide graduates with high-quality learning opportunities to enhance their experience and career aims in the music industry anywhere in the world, with a particular focus on sound production disciplines. Your knowledge of research should allow you to influence developments within the industry and you should also have the skills to teach as well.
You study
You will learn how to: process and interpret data to a professional standard; produce reports and critically assess data; understand different techniques and the role of sound engineering within research and commercial arenas and appreciate historical contexts behind the live, broadcast and recording industries.

You should have an HND or equivalent qualification in sound and will be invited for an interview.
