About this course
The aim of this programme is to provide a broad-based, management qualification that meets the needs of industry and commerce by providing you with a clear and comprehensive understanding of good management practice and techniques. There are no correct answers in management, every situation is unique. The key word is effectiveness.
You study
Relevant management theories and models can help provide guidelines for making effective decisions. You will learn about decision-making models, problem-solving methods and different ways of solving conflict at work. The programme is designed to enable you to take informed management decisions.
Self-study is through a virtual learning environment and there are optional, on-campus workshops.
Getting started
As this course is flexible you can start at a number of points during the year. The cost is £1,350. You may be eligible for ILA funding of £200.
Getting more
Following successful completion, you can progress to the Executive Diploma in Management at Perth College UHI. This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to consider a more senior position, or to progress to a Masters-level qualification.
