About this course
HNC Business is designed to provide the knowledge and skills for a broad
understanding of business organisations and the environments in which they operate. The HNC also enables graduates to progress to further academic and professional qualifications, or begin an administrative, managerial or commercial career. This award allows you to specialise in the area of Enterprise. It provides access to the HND then the BA Business Management and will help you towards promotion or a career in business. You will also get the opportunity to take part in a range of events throughout the year hosted by Perth College UHI's Centre for Enterprise. There is also the opportunity for further studies in enterprise at degree level.
You study
Subjects include: business accounting; enterprise skills; communication; organisation management; economics and law.
Getting starteA Higher Grade at C or above and two Standard Grades, preferably in English and Maths, or a relevant NQ. This course should provide you with direct entry to HND Business Year 2. If you don’t meet our entry requirements, your previous experience and credentials may still qualify you for this course.

Progression at Perth College UHI
The HNC can lead to Year 2 of our HND Business course, which may lead you to Year 3 of the BA Business and Management course where further specialisation in enterprise is possible.
