About this course
This programme is offered by online learning, supported by staff from the Centre for Rural Childhood. Its four modules address contemporary issues of childhood and the legal framework protecting and promoting children’s rights. The course is aimed at anyone working with children, for example educators of children from nursery to high school, social workers, police, tribunals for children and the judiciary.
You study
In semester 1, you study The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: Its development and implementation and research with children. Semester 2 covers listening to the child’s voice and contemporary issues of children and childhood.

We normally ask for a degree or equivalent. We also accept applicants with other work experience and professional qualifications such as social work, teaching or community education.
