About this course
This course aims to provide you with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to enter the beauty industry as a beautician. The NC is a national qualification that should be recognised by any potential employer as a measure of your abilities.
You study
This course is delivered over a year and covers many of the key subjects needed for a career in beauty therapy, including:Facial and eye treatments; customer care; human biology; core skills; hand and foot treatments. The emphasis is on practical skills with underpinning theory.
Getting started
Two Standard Grades at 3 or above, including English, and preferably a science subject. You should enjoy working with people and have a bright, friendly personality.
