Businesses in Perth & Kinross with less than 75 employees can now apply for up to £5,000 towards employee training costs, thanks to Skills Development Scotland’s (SDS) Flexible Training Opportunities scheme.
The money can be used against ILA fundable courses at Perth College UHI for up to 10 employees per business, and as it is not a loan, it doesn’t have to be paid back.
SDS will refund up to 50% of each part of the training up to a maximum of £500 for each employee. So if an episode of training costs £1200, SDS will refund £500, and if it costs £300, they will refund £150.
Types and levels of training eligible for support are: Qualifications, including individual units; Masterclasses; Learning based on National Occupational Standards; Industry recognised qualifications; First line supervisory management; Workshops and Taster sessions.
