 Conveyancing PDA 

Course Details

 

The Professional Development Award (PDA) in Conveyancing is a qualification which provides essential skills and knowledge for practising conveyancing paralegals. 

It's ideal if you're working in a law office and want to become a Registered Paralegal under The Law Society of Scotland's Registered Paralegal Scheme with the Scottish Paralegal Association (SPA) or you would just like to begin your career in property in the legal sector.

Gaining a nationally recognised qualification by online learning will prove you have practical and relevant skills.

You study

• Legal and Ethical Issues • Legal Research Techniques • Legal Secretarial Practice • Property Law • Residential Conveyancing.

You'll also get support from qualified practitioners throughout the programme. 

Getting started

There are no specific entry qualifications, but you should be working in a legal environment or have at least one Higher in English, Modern Studies, History or Economics. If you don’t meet our entry requirements, your previous experience and credentials may still qualify you for this course, so please discuss it with us.

Successful completion of our conveyancing course may also be a stepping stone to further your legal career.

The course will take 12 months to complete with a recommended 5 hours of study per week and costs £750. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to have your course fees subsidised by up to £500.
