Start your childcare and education career with Perth College

Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Grampian hills and located in the heart of Perthshire — just west of Perth city's buzzing centre — Perth College UHI’s campus is an ideal place to study.

Our commitment to excellence means that we are continuously improving our facilities. Our custom built library is a modern space which gives our students access to thousands of resources, including books, journals and multi-media items.

We have created new learning spaces, like our learning café, which helps students to learn in new and innovative ways.  We have instilled a culture of exploration, so that students have access to 'real life' tools and experiences, like student exchange, work study, and cutting-edge software.

We love the campus environment, but we know that not all our students can come to the College campus, which is why we have made large investments in technology and off-campus facilities; many of our courses are also available in your workplace, in our Local Learning Centres, through video conference or online, so students can study with us no matter where they are in the world!

Early Education and Childcare Department

Employability is key to all our courses, so there are plenty of options.

Our students go on to work in early education and childcare across the private and public sectors, including our own on-campus nursery.

If you are willing to put the right effort into it you can even earn a BA/BA Honours in Child and Youth Studies through our virtual learning environment, studying where and when it suits you best.

We're committed to keeping our practice current, and have links with the Care Commission and SSSC, regulatory bodies for the sector.
